Thank you so much for being here and for considering Sadie's Happy Tails for your pet care needs. My name is Shontaeia, but most people call me Tay. I created Sadie's Happy Tails because I genuinely believe pets deserve thoughtful, personalized care while their people are away, not rushed visits, overcrowded groups, or stressful environments. I'm also joined by Nick, who comes along on visits and outings to give your pet even more attention and consistency.
Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve been around dogs for as long as I can remember, and today I also have four very opinionated cats at home, Thor, Rocket, Nebula, and Robin, who constantly remind me how different every animal truly is.
A huge part of why Sadie's Happy Tails exists also comes from losing my dog , Sadie, in September of 2024. Going through that loss changed the way I look at pet care and the amount of trust people place in someone when they hand over the care of an animal they love like family. It made me realize how important patience, routine, comfort, and genuine connection really are for both pets and their owners.
Before starting professionally, I was already the person friends and family trusted with their pets. Over time, that naturally grew into Sadie's Happy Tails, a business centered around calmer, more personalized care that focuses on routine, trust, enrichment, and real connection instead of a rushed or one size fits all approach.
Today, I provide drop-ins, house sitting, and enrichment-focused adventure outings designed around what helps each pet feel most comfortable and fulfilled. Whether that means quiet companionship at home, structured outdoor time, sniff based enrichment, or simply moving at their pace, my goal is always to create an experience that feels safe, natural, and positive for the animals in my care.
